Installing OTRS on Ubuntu

is an open-source Issue tracking system software package which a company, organisation or institution can use to assign tickets to incoming queries, thereby greatly facilitating the handling of support requests and other customer traffic. The most exciting is it is already contained in the package repositories. Installing OTRS is easy as 1-2-3!

1. Install OTRS package and dependencies:

$sudo apt-get install otrs

2. Copy the file /etc/otrs/apache2-httpd.include.conf to /etc/apache2/conf.d.

3. Restart Apache service:

$sudo /etc/init.d/apache2 force-reload

4. Use the following address to access the web installer, then follow the steps and setup the system.

http://localhost/otrs/installer.pl

5. Restart Apache again:

$sudo /etc/init.d/apache2 force-reload

That’s all. Now, you can visit admin interface at http://localhost/otrs/index.pl, and customer interface at http://localhost/otrs/customer.pl.

IBM Open Source Application Server Gains Support of More Than 600 Partners in Six Months ? IBM has announced that more than 600 independent software vendors (ISVs) and systems integrators have joined IBM’s WebSphere Application Server (WAS) Community Edition partner initiative since it was launched just six months ago. WAS Community Edition is IBM’s open source application server based on Apache Geronimo.

Dev-C++ is an full-featured Integrated Development Environment (IDE) for Win32. It uses GCC, Mingw or Cygwin as compiler and libraries set. The latest release of Dev-C++ is version 4.9.9.1, which includes GCC3.3.1 and latest Mingw headers and libraries.

libyahoo2 - A C library for Yahoo! Messenger

libyahoo2 is a C library that handles the new Yahoo! Messenger protocol and supports almost all current features of the protocol. It communicates with clients via a callback mechanism, and has the capability to handle multiple accounts simultaneously.
